Bolivia was never part of the plan, but it turned out to be my favourite surprise. There is no Starbucks on every corner and no tourist menu, just a country living life its own way.
Many locals speak indigenous languages like Quechua and Aymara, and tip a little water onto the ground for Mother Earth before drinking. A strong sense of community runs through everything, and nobody gets left behind. Add the altitude, the salt flats and the jungle, and Bolivia takes your breath away in more ways than one.
Welcome to my Bolivia travel guide. Below you will find every story, tip and budget from my time there.
